FIT & MEASUREMENT TERMS
Last Updated: January 2026
1) PURPOSE
This page explains how measurements, fit expectations, and tailoring work for Made-to-Order gowns. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service and forms part of your purchase agreement.
2) CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY (STRICT)
2.1 Your measurements are your responsibility. You are solely responsible for providing complete and accurate measurements and fit notes, following our Measurement Guide.
2.2 Incorrect measurements are not a defect. If fit issues arise due to incorrect or incomplete measurements, this is not a manufacturing defect and does not create a refund or remake right.
2.3 Completeness requirement. You must submit all required measurement fields. Missing fields may delay production and shipping.
3) BEST PRACTICE: PROFESSIONAL MEASUREMENT
For premium outcomes, we strongly recommend being measured by a professional tailor or bridal atelier. Self-measuring increases error risk.
4) VERIFICATION SUPPORT (NOT A GUARANTEE)
4.1 Verification questions. We may ask clarifying questions about your measurements or fit preferences.
4.2 No guarantee. Our guidance reduces risk but does not transfer responsibility to us. Final responsibility remains yours.
5) FIT EXPECTATIONS IN COUTURE
5.1 Normal reality. In couture, minor adjustments are common due to posture, personal preference, and measurement variance.
5.2 No “perfect fit” promise. We do not promise a perfect fit without any tailoring. The garment is constructed according to the measurements you submit.
6) LOCAL TAILORING EXPECTATION
6.1 Tailoring is part of the process. You should plan time for a local fitting and tailoring, especially if your event date is close.
6.2 Tailor risk. Third-party tailoring quality varies. We are not liable for errors introduced by third-party alterations.
7) WHAT COUNTS AS A FIT ISSUE VS. A DEFECT
- Fit issue (not a defect): too loose/tight due to measurement inaccuracies; preference-based fit preferences; changes in body weight/shape after submission; posture differences.
- Potential defect (rare): structural construction fault unrelated to measurements (e.g., zipper failure, structural seam failure) assessed under our Defects Policy.
8) BODY CHANGES AFTER MEASUREMENT SUBMISSION
If your measurements change due to weight loss/gain, pregnancy, gym transformation, or other reasons after Order Confirmed, we are not responsible for refitting. This does not create a refund right.
9) EVENT DATE RESPONSIBILITY
You are responsible for ordering early enough to allow production, shipping, customs clearance, and local tailoring. Ordering too close to the event date reduces available options and does not create a refund right.
10) ALTERATION CREDIT (FIT SUPPORT)
10.1 Support benefit. We may offer an alteration reimbursement credit up to $100 USD for minor adjustments (hem/strap/small waist tweaks).
10.2 Requirements. A dated receipt and proof of payment from a professional tailor are required, and the request must be submitted within the timeframe communicated by Client Service.
10.3 Exclusions. The credit does not cover major resizing, redesign, or corrections required due to incorrect measurements unless explicitly approved in writing.
11) MEASUREMENT CONFIRMATION = ORDER LOCK
Once you confirm your measurements/specifications and your order is marked Order Confirmed, production planning is locked. Changes after this point may be denied or may require fees and timeline extensions.
